Youth CAN

Youth community action network (Youth CAN) is a program aimed at empowering the youths and inculcating community values to the youths so that they can get actively engaged in community service as a way of formation to ensure that in future they become good citizen who are sensitive to the needs of the community.

Just as the literal meaning of the acronym “Youth CAN” denotes that the youths have the ability, same way CIPAD, wants to emphasize the ability of the youths. This is in order to ensure that the youths are given opportunities in all aspects and are empowered to be able to demand for their rights in both governance, socio-economic development and peacebuilding.

This project leverages on the energy, hardwork and volunteer spirit of the youths to come up with creative activities that are able to empower and engage youths in community service in order to create a better world where youths have a place and role to play in development. Some of the activities that are conducted within the

Youth CAN program are:
- Environmental conservation
- Youth games
- Agricultural project
- Mentorship and career guidance
- Campaigns against HIV/AIDs and Substance abuse
