Stronger Civil Society. Stronger Citizen Participation.

Strong and connected civil society organizations play an important role in ensuring that citizens’ voices are heard in governance and development processes.

Through this initiative, CIPAD was sub-granted to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in Meru and Tharaka Nithi Counties on the importance of collective action and inclusive approaches to promoting citizen voice and participation.

The project supports civil society organizations to better understand the value of collaboration, inclusivity, advocacy, and collective action in strengthening citizens’ participation in governance.

From individual voices to collective action

When civil society organizations work together and create space for diverse voices, they can contribute more effectively to accountable, inclusive, and responsive governance.

CIPAD seeks to strengthen this ecosystem by supporting local organizations to collaborate, amplify citizens’ voices, and advocate for more inclusive development and governance.
